THIS IS THE T & T SPEEDWAY RULES
TREND AND TRAINS HOBBY RACETRACK RULES & REGULATIONS
R/C RACING RULES
All drivers must read the Waiver and sign the form.
All racing participants are to conduct themselves in a sportsman-like manner. Foul language and heated arguments will not be tolerated. Physical altercations will be cause for immediate removal from the property.
The race director has the FINAL say on all judgment calls. Racing will begin PROMPTLY at the designated start time for that day. All entrants MUST be signed up 30 minutesbefore start time. All racers are expected to be READY for their heat or main. If a racer is unprepared at the time of the heat or main, the racer will forfeit that heat or main. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED BY RACE DIRECTORS.
R/C RACING
If you are using a personal transponder, your ID# must be provided at the time of sign-up. If you do not have a personal transponder, you may rent one belonging Trends and Trains Hobby Shop. The transponder MUST NOT be taken back to your pit table UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. The Transponder is to be installed directly before your heat, and removed directly after your heat, BEFORE you go out to marshal the next race. You must place borrowed transponders back in the charging rack in its proper place. FAILURE to comply with these rules will result in a forfeiture of your fastest time, or place in a main.
If you are using and charging Li-Po Batteries you are required to use a Li-Po Battery Bag. Failure to do so will eliminate your entrance and qualifications and no REFUND will be issued.
Proper sportsmanship during a heat or main is required. There are no rules regarding courtesy to faster cars. That is a gentlemen's agreement. However, purposeful and repeated crashing of your car, driving in the wrong direction, walking onto the track, throwing debris on the track, or proof of intentional damage to other racers vehicles is STRICTLY PROHIBITED, and will result in forfeiture of your fastest time, or place in a main, possible removal from racing all together, or may even result in a fine or penalty.
Not all racers are of the same skill level, HOWEVER this does not mean that you can pick or choose who you race with in your heat. Halfway through the program, heats will be shuffled to arrange drivers to better suit how they have been performing so far that day. Everyone has the same right to race regardless of skill level.
YOUR RADIO SHOULD NEVER BE ON IN THE PITS. It should only be turned on when the previous race has cleared all vehicles from the track. Then your radio can be turned on. Immediately after your race, turn off your car before your radio. Anyone abusing this rule will be subject to penalty.
RADIO CONFLICTS
All racers are EXPECTED to have an alternate radio frequency available. This includes either having extra crystal sets, or a synthesized radio in which you can change channels. If there is a radio conflict within your heat or main, and NEITHER of you are able to change your frequencies, the racer who has the best qualifying time has priority, and the slower racer must either relinquish to a lower main, OR will not be able to participate in the race. If a racer is unable to race due to the above violation, there will be NO REFUND available.
You must race your own car to receive the points you earn in a points race. If another driver qualifies your car for you, or races your car in a main, you will be given last place points for that day, no matter where you finish. There is no OWNERS SERIES points race at Trends and Trains Hobby Racetrack. If you own a car and allow someone else to drive it for the day, that person who drove it must enter the car in their name, and will be credited with the points for that day.
TURN MARSHAL
At the end of your heat or main, you are REQUIRED to turn marshal the next heat or main. Failure to turn marshal will result in forfeiture of your fastest time and/or place. Turn marshaling involves standing on the inside of the track, on either a turn or the middle of a straight, and correcting stuck vehicles or removing broken vehicles and debris. When marshaling, NEVER run out onto the track to correct a car at the top of the track. Either let someone on the outside of the track get it, or wait until the race commentator has warned the drivers to slow down in that section before you step onto the track to correct the problem. NEVER walk onto the track during a race.
If a car or cars wreck near you, and you need to place a car back down on the track, be sure you don't place the car in the path of oncoming traffic. Wait until its clear, or place the car on the track, away from the normal racing groove.
The ONLY way to get out of turn marshalling is to find a volunteer or substitute in your place.
NO gambling, NO Drugs, and NO Alcohol. If anyone is thought to be under the influence you will be asked to leave immediately without refund.
Please keep all pit areas CLEAN.
